What exactly is in the AED 1,999 + VAT?
The AED 1,999 + VAT covers two things: the one-time hardware purchase (tablet POS stand, cash drawer, thermal receipt printer) and your first Luqma software installment of AED 447 + VAT. After the starter payment, three more software installments of AED 447 + VAT each complete your first year of software.
Is the hardware on a payment plan?
No. Hardware is a single one-time payment, included in the AED 1,999 starter kit. There are no further hardware payments. The 4-installment schedule applies to the software subscription only.
How much does the software cost per year?
Luqma software is AED 1,788 + VAT per year, payable in 4 installments of AED 447 + VAT. The first installment is included in the AED 1,999 starter kit. From year two onward — when hardware is already paid — you pay the software only: AED 1,788 + VAT annually.
Does it handle UAE VAT correctly?
Yes. Luqma applies 5% UAE VAT automatically on every transaction and prints it as a separate line on every customer receipt. Your Tax Registration Number (TRN) prints on all receipts. Z-reports itemise VAT collected for each shift — matching FTA receipt requirements.
How quickly can I be up and running?
Most cafés are operational within one working day. We build your menu before the hardware arrives, so setup on-site is fast. Send us your menu when you order and we have it ready before you unbox anything.
Can I add more features later — like a KDS or inventory?
Yes. The starter kit runs Luqma Basic, which includes the cashier, digital menu, VAT, receipts and daily reports. When your café is ready, you can add a Kitchen Display System at any time — it connects directly to the same system. If you want recipe costing, inventory and food cost reporting, upgrading to Luqma Professional (AED 299/month per branch) adds all of that.

Luqma's support team is Dubai-based and reachable by WhatsApp and phone. We know UAE café operating hours — if something goes wrong during your morning rush, you are not waiting for a support ticket to cross time zones.
